The Average Efficiency of HJT Inline PECVD Equipment in Mass Production has Achieved More than 25% Continuously and Stably (Micro-crystalline Process)

Recently, S.C’s RPD equipment has contributed to scientific and technological workers in the HJT field at the user end, continuously obtaining remarkable leading data and refreshing the upper limit of cell efficiency many times. Meanwhile, our Changzhou HJT pilot line also came with good news that with an average conversion efficiency of mass production for S.C’s 210mm Half-Cell HJT In-line PECVD (RF micro-crystalline process) exceeding 25%, its mass production efficiency continued to ramp up through the continuous optimization of the process and equipment by the R&D team for nearly half a year. At present, more than 25% average conversion efficiency has been stably reached in the mass production for S.C’s HJT pilot line, and with the continuous optimization of RPD technology, the conversion efficiency of some cells is close to 26%. This is a phased achievement of S.C's steady promotion of HJT solar cells multi-route technology layout and continuous cost reduction and efficiency improvement.

The HJT micro-crystalline process of S.C has higher light transmittance and lower resistance than the traditional amorphous. It improves the cell conversion efficiency by increasing cell current and achieving lower series resistance. The In-line PECVD of S.C adopts inline I-IN-P structure and automation overall solution, and the large-area wafer tray is designed to carry out single-sided or double-sided micro-crystalline process, which realizes the goal of 25%+ average conversion efficiency of mass production for HJT solar cells, further enhancing our competitiveness in the field of HJT solar cells manufacturing equipment. In addition, S.C newly developed micro-crystalline & RPD production line solution that based on mass production has also made a big breakthrough. And S.C will further improve the conversion efficiency and reduce the equipment investment cost.
